The Handbell Choir, also known as HUMringers, plays a 4-octave set of Schulmerich English handbells. The ringers in this group have had some musical background in order to participate. The group rehearses weekly, and plays periodically in the worship service. The level of commitment is high, as each bell ringer plays a vital role in creating the overall sound. There is great satisfaction in performing and sharing this unique and beautiful sound with the congregation.
The Chime Choir plays on a 3-octave set of Malmark Handchimes. The members of this group are of all ages, but the focus is on preparing young people to participate in the music program. The music played is simpler, so attention can be put toward learning to read music. The opportunity to participate is open to all who wish to learn and to make music. This group is made up of children from third grade and older, with some adults. The chime choir plays at various seasons, such as Christmas and Easter, and periodically throughout the year.
